I don’t do incommunicado very well……

14 Aug

so the relief this morning when the doorbell rang at 8 was indescribable.  Hunky guy at the door with a bulging tool belt, looking to give me broadband.  It would have been churlish to refuse….  Unfortunately, I was in a lurid pink vest and a pair of manky trousers, but I think he was so overwhelmed by the whole Reidy Children Breakfast Time that he didn’t notice.  We were trying to negotiate the minefield of Canadian breakfast cereal, but the whole food thing needs a post all of its own, so more of that later.

Anyway, we’re here, online and ready to overload you all with the trip so far.

Hi Barabara, I was stunned on Sunday to discover that you had already gone to Canada! It seemed like only a couple of weeks ago that you had mentioned it. Love the blog – it had me in stitches! I can relate to so much of it: the airport trauma, the serious immigration and security staff, the never ending luggage! Never lose your sense of humour and you will be fine!!
I think that you, Mike and the children will love it there. It’s a great country to live in. Have a ball and keep the blog going – it’s brilliant! Anne x.

Hi Anne, so sorry not to have seen you before we went! You had swanned off to France for three weeks, and it all happened so quickly in the end. Hope you had a great time; you certainly didn’t miss any sunshine in Ireland anyway.
